1. Who we are
This site is operated by MathsWithMrD ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The form on our site collects your name, your email address, the subject you select, and anything you write in the message box.
When you book and pay
Payments are taken by Stripe, not by us. Stripe collects your card details directly — we never see or store your card number. From Stripe we receive your name, email address, and a record of what you bought and when.
When you attend a session
Sessions run on Zoom. Zoom will process the display name and email address used to join. Sessions are recorded, so a recording may capture a participant's voice, and their image if their camera is on, along with anything typed in the chat.
Students are not required to turn their camera on to take part.
When you visit the site
This site sets no cookies. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking software. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We do not send marketing emails. We will only email you about a course you have booked, or in reply to your enquiry.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Zoom — running and recording live sessions
- Netlify — website hosting and enquiry form submissions
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, so your data may be transferred internationally. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Children's data
Our courses are aimed at school-age students. We ask that a parent or guardian makes the booking and is the point of contact, and that they read this policy on the student's behalf. If you believe we hold a child's data without appropriate involvement from a parent or guardian, contact us and we will delete it.
6. How long we keep it
- Session recordings — 4 weeks after the session, then deleted.
- Enquiries — 12 months from your last contact with us.
- Booking and payment records — 6 years, as required for UK tax and accounting purposes.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your data, where there's no overriding reason to keep it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it;
- ask for your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling their helpline on 0303 123 1113.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll tell you by email.
